Common Threads

#webdesign #branding

Common Threads is a project developed for Patagonia customers and brand ehnthusiastics.

Common Threads was an old Patagonia project, and its principal goal was to promote circular economy. Our new goal is to create a new platform, where everyone can share sports equipment.

Through an interactive community, each user will be able to share and borrow sport equipment for free.

We were challenged to create a service that could help Patagonia's target to enjoy more outdoor time.

First ideas were presented online, and we received instant online feedback, making it very easy to understand which ideas were more catchy and fresh for the audience.

And how do we help Patagonia?

How do we help our target?

"I can practice any sport without having to buy or rent equipment."

“I don't have to bring my own gear when I'm going on holidays.”

“I save money.”

“I can meet locals and receive input about the best spots.”

"We help sports people to do what they love the most."

“We promote a non profits project that helps to reduce the ecological foot print of our products.”

“We get new customers.”

"We make our brand's awareness grow.”

Common Threads has many meanings and is used in climbing slang

Our starting point for the brands 's development was the Patagonia brand itself.

The Common Thread community was born.

The user just had to create an account and use the platform to share and lend sports material to other certified users.

The service was free and you you could only join in case you had an invitation from another community member.
